dress dezaning

Summer is almost here, fashion trends give us an opportunity to choose. Summer dresses are the perfect solution to your summer events like

parties, weddings, barbeque parties, etc. Let’s look at what’s the hot dress for this summer.

1.Long dress
In the Daily Mail’s article, "Maxi dresses — the must-have this summer." This year’s version of the dress trend has taken on a fun new twist with

the return of the long dress - it’s a comfortable, fun, throwback to 60’s bohemian fashion. It can be so much sexier to make your outfit focus on

one body part at a time, and long dresses are a great way to show off your upper body. If you are short you can still wear a maxi but make sure

you choose a style that skims your figure rather then swamps it. If you’re tall, this look was made for you!

2. Floral Prints dress
Aware of the importance of florals, the talented in-house design team have created a modern take on femininity, full of print and color. The new

floral is strong, modern and sometimes eye-popping. Bold prints are cool and fun; but be sure to pair them with neutral accessories. If you wear a

floral print dress this summer you will have bought into the latest floral fashion trend.

3.Geometric prints dress
This summer the geometric print dresses are also a favorite for 2008 summer dress trends, especially the long dress with colorful geometric

prints.

4. Ruffles
Ruffles are everywhere from skirts, shirts, smock tunic tops, mini to maxi dresses. Ruffled dresses add shape and femininity to a petite or boyish

figure, but if you are closer to an apple shape (big bust and stomach) then do ruffles in moderation. If you are pear-shaped, then concentrate the

ruffles on your top half to draw attention away from your bottom and hips.

Pair your dress with a pair of Gladiator sandals and you'll be as beautiful as a goddess from the era inspiring this season's fashion!

shoes fashion

What fashion lover doesn't love shoes? I've compiled the strangest shoes in fashion today that even the biggest fashionista may or may not love. These shoes are innovative, funny, and some are even disturbing. Be prepared, any preconceived notions you have about shoes are about to change!

1. The High-Chair Heels

Designed to look like a modern high-chair, the high-chair heels take your feet 6 inches off the ground so they sit almost vertical. This innovative design makes a bold fashion statement that is perhaps better seen in home décor, because it's a fashion accident waiting to happen.

2. The Claw Shoe

This unique shoe is fashion suited to lovers of gothic fashion with its heel designed to look like a talon. While its fashion statement may be work the sacrifice, I like shoes that don't leave me barefoot.

3. The Center Heel Corkscrew Shoe

This strange shoe features a heel that's not quite where we're used to seeing it. If that's not enough, a second strange element was incorporated into the fashion shoe's design; a corkscrew heel. While this shoe at least serves one fundamental purpose of a shoe; covering your foot, it's missing another key element. Fashion lovers willing to risk wearing this design better be professional acrobats, because walking cannot be an easy feat.

4. Cardboard Shoes

Artist Mike Leavitt is featuring a cardboard shoe show in NYC on April 18, 2009. The shoe designs, at a glance, don't look so unusual since the follow sneaker designs of popular shoe manufacturers. It's the material that makes them different. While it might be a great idea for a sustainable fashion statement, these shoes would hit the recycling box after an encounter with inclement weather.

5. Most Dangerous Shoe in the World: Tarantula Shoe

The tarantula shoe is a sky-high platform design that might be a danger to weak ankles, but this scary fashion oddity is the most dangerous shoe in the world for a very different reason; encased in the fashionable item is a live tarantula. Since goldfish shoes went out with the 70s, someone had to come up with a new living shoe design. No word whether or not this fashion might present an animal rights violation or if the tarantula has the ability to be removed. However, there's no doubting that this scary shoe makes a bold and dangerous fashion statement.

6. The Gameboy Shoe

Who says fashionistas can't be gamers too? This geeky shoe design features working retro Gameboys which can actually be removed and played. This multi-function fashion item serves both as a functional shoe and a portable entertainment system!

7. Hot Wheels Shoes

These strange shoes aren't actually made by Hot Wheels; they're designed by Ronaldo Frago. The perfect shoe for mothers on the go since shoes can double as entertaining toys for small children. So the wheels aren't real, but these functional flats sure are cute!

8. Most Disturbing Shoe: The Rat Shoe

Talk about fashion statement! This disturbing shoe might be great for Halloween, because its dead rat design could certainly scare the daylights out of anyone. This scary shoe is not for the faint at heart. But what were they thinking?

9. The Landscape Shoe

This neat shoe is a walking piece of art in design and function. Lover of greener pastures and livestock? Then this shoe is definitely for you. It's unique design built onto the shoe includes a tree, cow, horse and stray lumber.

10. The Pant Shoe

It's hard to tell whether these are shoes, pants or a little of both. While the sneaker design may be comfortable and practical off the runways; you certainly better plan ahead when nature calls

Shoes in Bright Colors

You'll be seeing a lot of purple pumps, pink platforms and melon Mary Janes -- in fact, every color of the rainbowis well represented in this spring’s selection of footwear. But there is a special emphasis on hot and citrus colors like oranges, limes, yellows and pinks. This is great news for those of us who die a little bit inside every time the fashion powers-that-be decide that beige is the new black.

Print Shoes

From floral patterns to retro graphic prints,
prints are experiencing a bit of a comeback
this season, and there are enough out there
that I'm calling it a mini-trend.I love print
shoes because they're such an easy way to
inject a bit of personality into an otherwise
basic outfit -- and they're great for pulling
together multiple colors. The key to pulling
them off is in keeping the rest of your outfit
relatively simple.

Color Block Shoes
Another huge trend for Spring 2008 is Color Block shoes (or shoes with "color blocking") -- which is basically a 50 cent term for shoes that combine big, bold areas of
contrasting colors. It's a great look, and one I'm really fond of.
And it works so well with mod styles, bright colors and shiny
finishes, it's the perfect time for its comeback. Patent Leather
Shoes Happily, we're not done with patent leather yet, especially
since I can't wait to see all of this season's bright colors coated
with shiny varnish. All I can say to my fellow patent lovers is to
enjoy these glistening gems while you can, because as hard as it
is to believe, shiny shoes aren't always so popular.

Metallic Shoes
Metallic shoes are in again. Not that they were ever really "out"
exactly. It's just a matter of which department you'll find them in.
When they're really "in" you'll find metallic flats, casuals, boots,
even metallic sneakers. When metallics aren't quite as hot, you'll
find them mostly in the evening shoe department.Well, this spring,
you can have just about any kind of shoe you desire with a metallic
finish. Especially if you desire it in gold, and especially, especially if
you desire it in silver. Shimmer on.

Shoes with Cut-Out Uppers
Holy Shoes, shoes with holes in them are hot! Laser cut, punched,
mesh and perforated uppers can be found on everything from
sporty shoes to pretty pumps, and with designs ranging from
dainty floral patterns to designs that look nearly industrial. While
this trend isn't quite as omnipresent as some of the others on the
list, it is one of the more innovative -- and some of my favorite
styles thus far this season, have fallen into this category.

Sling-Back Shoes
Sling-back shoes are among my favorite styles, so I'm happy
to report that they'll be hitting the streets and our feet with a
vengeance this spring. One of the reasons I like sling-backs so
much is because I find them less-confining than regular pumps.
And while back straps are usually found on shoes with higher
heels, this season, they can even be found on flats and lower
heeled styles.

Platform Shoes
While we may not be quite as platform-crazed as we were last
Spring and Summer, make no mistake, platform shoes are still
a popular choice for Spring 2008. But if you want to stay on the
cutting-edge of this wave, try looking for styles that pair one of
this season's other hot trends, like bright colors or cut-out uppers,
with their thick soles.

skin on fingers

For the past few months, the skin on the thumb and index fingers of both hands has been drying and peeling, with painful cracking occurring. The skin keeps callousing and sloughing off. I have tried petroleum jelly, hand creams, shea butter and pure lanolin. I've seen a GP who suggested "contact dermatitis" and a dematologist and been given prescriptions for Protopic Ointment 0.1%, Dovonex 0.005%, Lac-Hydrin 12%, Fluocinonide Cream 0.05%, but nothing seems to help. There was no evidence of any fungus. This problem started with cracking fingertips last winter, which I attributed to dry weather and cold conditions - but it has continued for 10 months. The skin will dry and peel off, revealing new skin, which almost immediately begins to dry and callous. I am a very healthy individual, do not work with chemicals, wear rubber gloves when I have my hands in water for extended periods. I have taken a number of herbal and vitamin supplements for years, but have not started taking anything new which might be having an adverse effect. I suggested to the dematologist that they may want to do a blood test for strep or a virus, but was told this is just a form of severe dematitis. I was given the first cream treatment in July - nothing has made a significant improvement. When I start to use a cream, there will be a mild improvement, but then the problem seems to come back again. The skin on the fingertips will become so hard and dry that it literally splits open - very painful and aggravating. The only other place I noticed this was on my right big toe. What is going on here? Do I see yet another dematologist?

skin on fingers

Bowen is a muscle, nerve, soft connective tissue and subtle energy technique named after Australian, Tom Bowen (1916-1982), who developed it. It is a non-invasive, gentle form of bodywork that works within the limits defined by the specific elasticity of a person’s skin. The fingers or thumbs connect to the skin and gently draw the ‘slack’ back to the edge of a muscle, ligament or tendon. The skin is held for a short while. Rolling the fingers or thumbs back over the muscle, tendon, ligament and their fascia, completes the procedure. Bowen is a form of natural healing. It treats the whole person not just the part(s) of the body in which symptoms occur. Practitioners do not, therefore, make allopathic medical diagnoses. They use a process of visual assessment and physical/energetic palpation of tissue tension and energetic blocks to guide treatment. The number of practitioners in Britain now approaches a thousand.
Doctors confirm its effectiveness
Now used worldwide, people visit Bowen practitioners to help many different conditions. Dr. Mercola says of Bowen: ‘A simple, short, powerful and effective technique for maximizing optimal health…it’s application is completely safe and appropriate for everyone from highly trained athletes, to newborns, to pregnant women, to the elderly and infirm.’[1]
Dr. Motha, an obstetrician, confirms Bowen’s usefulness. She prescribes Bowen to help with pre- and post-natal care. She recently presented her findings at the Royal College of Medicine and the Royal College of Obstetricians.
In the US, Dr. Joanne Whitaker’s study, measuring changes in the value and pattern in heart rate variability as a result of treatment, has found Bowen to be effective in balancing the autonomic nervous system. In particular, she has found it helpful in treating fibromyalgia.
Trials by sports scientist Helen Kinnear and Bowen instructor Julian Baker have shown Bowen to be effective in treating frozen shoulder. 70% of their subjects experienced improvement after receiving Bowen, compared to 20% receiving generalised massage.
Relieving a wide range of symptoms
Bowen has helped patients relax, de-stress and alleviate emotional problems. It has been beneficial for pregnancy symptoms, headaches and migraines, digestive disorders including constipation and irritable bowel syndrome, respiratory problems and reproductive disorders including menstrual problems and ovarian cysts. Its musculo-skeletal effectiveness extends to general muscle, tendon and ligament injuries, back pain, fibromyalgia, temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) problems, whiplash, repetitive strain injury, trapped nerves and sciatica.
A friendly therapy
Bowen is also very effective used with a wide range of other complementary modalities including osteopathy, chiropractic work, acupuncture, shiatsu, manual lymphatic drainage, cranio-sacral work, hypnotherapy, reiki, kinesiology, and homeopathy.

Six Boots for winter season

Written on December 25th, 2009 by shamsione shout

Shoes Fashion, Now that the snow’s banked high and winter shoes is officially in full swing, your fall footwear ain’t going to cut it anymore. We combed the market to find six must-see boots that can stand up to the slush.

I’m not the only one who thinks so—the Gap recently strapped these on the models for their winter campaign, causing widespread confusion when would-be shoppers couldn’t find them at the brand’s stores.

Shoes Fashion, Winter is slowly and steadily creeping into our lives; so is the concern of keeping ourselves warm and stylish fashion boots. There is perchance no winter fashion more ephemeral than leg warmers. Seriously, these retro cold-weather accessories may at a glance look silly, but they are also highly practical for this season’s leggings and skinny jeans styles, so why not wear them while they are hot.

clip_image003

Boots and leg warmers are also a great combination of style and fashion. They’ll make you feel cozy at the same time look hip and modish. Opt for basic colors like black, brunette, mushroom or grey shades as they’ll be adaptable option to pair for.

And last but not the least are these Furry and cozy leg warmers for people who would love to experiment and look funky with the leg warmers.

David Hume was born on the 7th of may in the year 1711 in Scotland. He was a philosopher and a strong proponent of empiricism which is a theory of knowledge which advocates is origin in the senses. He believed, in a way that was stronger than anyone who came before him, that if something could not be perceived, it could not be known. Though he was better understood as a historian during his lifetime, he remained the prevailing voice for this view until his death.

Hume was the first philosopher to explicitly deny the immortality of the soul. He had a reputation for being a skeptic and an atheist. As a result, philosophers and theologians who subscribed to the immortality of the soul often engaged with Hume throughout his life in an attempt to get him to concede his denial of their beliefs. I can understand why such an event might be appealing. To argue the strongest empiricist in the land into a theoretical submission would be the equivalent of philosophical regicide.

In the year 1776, Hume was approaching his demise as a result of some form of cancer. A philosopher and lawyer by the name of James Boswell visited Hume twice at his death bed in the weeks before his the day of his death. During these visits, the two intellectuals discussed the immortality of the soul. Boswell couldn't believe that an atheist could go to his death with contemptment. Boswell was attempting to draw a concession from him concerning his denial of the immortal soul. Hume graciously granted Boswell admittance to his bedroom at this most personal time of his life.

Finally, in frustration, Boswell asks if Hume can at least conceive of the possibility that the soul is immortal. Hume's final words were as follows:

Been using this serum for 3 months now. I think it is time for me to review it.

First of all, this is an organic product. You might think what can an organic product do? I thought that too, we live a world full of chemicals, only chemicals like SKII, Clinique will give result. But, can organic products work?

This serum is actually in oil-form. It contains a very important ingredient called Squalene, which is extracted from olive plant. Squalene is important to us because part of our skin is made of Squalene. As we grow old, our skin will decrease its production of Squalene, which is so-called aging. I am quoting Erica Yuen for this statement.

This serum suits me as I have dry and dehydrated skin. I have serious acne on my forehead which is due to stree + insomnia + constipation. Also blackhead issue on my nose and both of my cheeks.

i loved playing the game, in fact I beat it in about eight hours! I had to make a tag based off this game. Originally, the character has a red hue to him, and the cross is all red. I manipulated it around, and made it blend with the background, which was made from scratch. I used a piece of foil for texture, and added stocks and C4D’s until satisfied. Topaz Clean is a great tool, when used right. Please let me know what you think of this.

When my first son was a baby and a new walker, I was a regular customer at Tiny Steps – www.tinysteps.com.au. Fiona was incredibly helpful when it came to helping me choose shoes for my wobbly, toddling bundle of joy, and I completely trusted her judgement as she specialises in shoes for under-twos and the specific needs of their little feet.

I came away with many a beautiful pair of little shoes, safe in the knowledge that they’d perfectly support my son’s developing feet, and having easily chosen the right size due to Tiny Steps’ comprehensive sizing guides. The day I realised his feet had grown too big for me to shop at Tiny Steps any more was a sad one, but thank goodness I now have baby number 2, and a whole new reason to do some more miniature shoe shopping!

For anyone else who has little feet to buy for, I wholeheartedly recommend Tiny Steps. For one thing, buying online from Tiny Steps’ huge range is so much easier than dragging a tantruming toddler through shoe shops (especially when you’re then told that they only have one or two styles in your child’s size). For another, Fiona’s customer service is legendary: FREE customised gift wrap, a no-fuss returns policy, plus the shoes are all shipped in their original boxes (always a bonus), and the site offers flat-rate express or registered postage, and orders over $150 ship free. There are also a great range of accessories to select from from labels including Eeeni Meeni Miini Moh and BlaBla. You can see why I’ve kept going back!

There’s an extra reason to shop at Tiny Steps right now, too: in addition to a most impressive store-wide sale with up to 40% off, the wonderful Fiona is extending an additional 10% off store-wide discount to all KSF readers. Yep, up to 50% off brands including Pediped, Pedoodles, shooshoos, Sweet Shoes, diddledumpling, Bibi, Annabel Tends, 2feettall, Blabla, Kinder Clobber, SKEANIE, Cheeky Little Soles, Vessel, Scruffy Dog, Eeni Meeni Miini Moh, Woof!, Old Soles, Rileyroos and BLOCH. Peeling Skin on Fingers
Rough fingers are a difficult task to deal with. You can't run the fingers through your hair and neither can you eat something spicy, with bare hands. Peeling skin on fingers, has a tendency to get stuck in every fabric and in every strand, because of the dry skin. Moreover, peeling skin on fingers, is very sensitive too. But, there is a logic behind peeling skin on fingers. The skin, primarily, consists of layers, of which the outermost layer or the epidermis, is in a constant change. Hence, every 28 days, the outer layer of the skin is completely changed. Hydration, friction, exposure to sun and other medical reasons influence the change in skin covering. Let's try and understand the causes of peeling skin. Read more on peeling skin on hands.

Causes of Peeling Skin
  • Excessive perspiration is one of the reasons for peeling skin on fingers. Wearing hand gloves, makes your hands sweat, and prevents evaporation. As the sweat does not get evaporated, the salts in it, get accumulated on the skin, and this leads to peeling skin on fingers. Excessive perspiration is usually felt in summers, which causes peeling skin on fingers. Read more on peeling fingernails causes.
  • Medical conditions like, eczema, fungal infections, psoriasis, paronychia, felon, Herpetic whitlow, cellulitis, flexor tenosynovitis and deep space infection are some of the skin infections on fingers that can lead to peeling skin on fingers.
  • Another reason for peeling skin on fingers is, extremely dry skin. Some of us, inherently, have dry skin, and no matter what you do, it remains dry. If you are one of them, then you sure know, the disadvantages of dry skin. Using harsh soaps, hot water, incorrect moisturizers, constant exposure, will make your skin dry out even more, leading to dry cracked hands. Hence, avoid using such stuff and find the right product for yourself. Additionally, use warm water, instead of hot water, while taking a bath. Also, refrain from washing your hands frequently for better fingernail health.
  • If you are suffering from severe acne and are on medication, it tends to dry the skin. Thus, your peeling skin on fingers, may be a result of reaction to the acne medication.
  • Chemotherapy drugs or oral retinoids, also lead to peeling skin on fingers. There isn't really a solution to it, but you can only wait for the therapy to finish and keep your body well hydrated.
  • The most common reason for peeling skin on fingers is dehydration. Dehydration, makes your skin dry and makes your skin devoid of moisture. As a result of this, the skin on the fingers begins to peel off.
  • Constant exposure to sun and sunburns, is a definite cause of peeling skin on fingers, as it leads to peeling sunburn skin. To prevent this, apply a good sunscreen, which suits your skin and wear light cotton clothes, in summers. Extreme cold weather can also cause peeling skin and friction also leads to peeling skin on fingers. Thus, try and keep your hands as safe as possible from all of this. Everybody says “balance” is the most important part of life but mention it in context with fashion and things could go askew. That’s right, asymmetry is the order of the day in the world of fashion for this season and it has never proved truer than now. Check out collections by top Indian designers and note how they lose their ‘balance’ and want to take the asymmetrical path. Hemlines are the most popular part of a garment that is given this treatment. Swirling asymmetric hems float around the wearer whether it is for minis, midis or maxis. Collars are the latest garment part that gets the askew look. Designer Anand Kabra’s collars and even placket openings don’t tread the beaten path. He designed them at a slant and even gave his blouses and trousers an askew touch. Anuj Sharma’s creations revolve around lots of asymmetry as he allows his fabrics to hang loose over the body. Then there is designer Paromita Banerjee who adds layering to asymmetry as both go really well together, while Nachiket Barve layers sheer fabrics into varying lengths for pretty summer dresses. The most interesting asymmetry is a drape that moves from one end of the shoulder and hangs at the hemline at an angle. Skirts and dresses acquire a flowing beautiful look that makes them appear utterly feminine when they have an asymmetric cut. The benefits of an uneven silhouette for the female form are also quite positive. When it is a flared skirt with an asymmetric hemline it gives a slim figure more fullness. When a blouse has an off centre cut then a full figure has a slimming effect. Even an asymmetric neckline can work wonders for a torso as it distracts from a full bosom. It is all about how you use the different aspects of an uneven cut that will make a positive or negative impression on your body. The most interesting asymmetry is a drape that moves from one end of the shoulder and hangs at the hemline at an angle.
